Hello there! My name is Nika, and I am Bela’s mother. I am a mixed breed šarplaninac and at the age of five, I am still young and agile. Bela and I found ourselves at the shelter together, and we have similar stories. We were both guarding our territory and didn’t let other dogs in. However, we’ve learned that it’s not the best way to make friends. I have always been an active dog, and I love running around in open spaces. I am looking for someone who can provide me with enough space to move around and keep me active. As a guard dog, I need to be alert and vigilant, but I also need to be able to move freely. I cannot be tied up or chained as it restricts my natural movements. I am hoping to find a loving and caring family who can provide me with a spacious and safe environment, where I can be myself and be happy.
